Welcome!

If you’re like me, you’ve seen gorgeous breastmilk jewelry advertised online and thought it was a great way to honor and remember your journey, only to learn it takes months (sometimes up to six months!) to receive your jewelry back. For years this frustrated me, until I realized I had the creative power and deep desire to offer this for myself and all families in the Capital Region (faster and at a reasonable cost!).

So, welcome! I look forward to working with you to make your one of a kind piece come to life so you too, can forever remember (and wear) your journey.

PROCESS

In this process, an option to hand-deliver (or arrange pick up) of your milk in the Capitol Region is available to further speed up processing! Otherwise, instructions on how to ship your milk will be provided.

Together, we will work to select your custom jewelry piece and plan any additions (gold/silver flakes, shine, or color). Any unused milk will be returned to you.

I will hold onto any leftover processed milk for potential future projects.

If you find yourself here (welcome!) and ready to take the next step in planning your custom jewelry, please reach out. I’m looking forward to working with you. 🙂

Jewelry Care

Can water damage my jewelry?

Do not submerge your jewelry pieces in water. It is recommended to take your jewelry off before showering, swimming (pool or ocean!), or washing your hands.

Chemicals and abrasive materials are damaging to your jewelry pieces. Chlorine, saltwater, hot water, and moisture are also potentially damaging to your stone.

Will sunlight and heat damage my stone?

While it is safe to wear your jewelry outdoors, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, UV light, and heat should be avoided (for example: sunbathing, saunas, tanning beds). Wearing your stone under these conditions can result in softening and/or discoloration.

Can my personal and skin care products damage my jewelry?

Products with harsh chemicals or those that can cause staining should always be avoided (for example: bleach, nail polish remover, solvents).

To maintain your stone for life, avoid direct contact with substances such as lotions, moisturizers, creams, oils, make up, perfumes, hair spray, soaps, and shampoos. Your jewelry piece should be removed while using these types of products.

How Do I Clean My Jewelry?

Things to Be Avoided: Avoid submerging your jewelry in water, using soaps, or any abrasive/ jewelry cleaning solutions as these can damage your piece. Avoid using tissues and paper towels, as these can result in scratching. Avoid using an ultrasonic cleaner.

To properly clean your jewelry, use a gentle jewelry cleaning/polishing cloth, such as the one provided with your purchase to remove any dirt or moisture.
