What we do

We are passionate about supporting breastfeeding families from pregnancy through postpartum and believe that every family should have access to the critical support of a lactation counselor, regardless of income. This is why we offer lactation support in the Capital Region on a financial sliding scale. We also schedule visits both virtually and in-person.

In addition to our lactation support services, we also offer a creative way for you to honor your breastfeeding journey with custom breastmilk jewelry. For more information, please visit our Breastmilk Jewelry page.

Initial Consultation

First, I will gather you and your baby’s health history and hear your birth story.

We’ll talk about how breastfeeding is going and what your short and long term goals are.

Depending on your experiences, I will observe a feeding, providing immediate advice to help you on your journey.

Shortly after your visit, you will receive a clear plan with next steps, recommended follow-up, and contact information for any relevant resources.

A report can also be sent to your baby’s pediatrician or relevant specialists.

I am available to you for two weeks by email or text to offer advice, answer questions (that wouldn’t require a visit), and to be your biggest cheerleader!

Follow Up Support

Depending on needs, follow up visits will be virtual or in-person.

We will continue to work together on your feeding goals.

I will answer questions and concerns. Based on needs, I may ask to observe another feeding. We will make a new or updated feeding plan based on your current situation.

I will again be available by text and email for another two weeks following our visit.
